Notice of Water Service Disruption - Yonge Steet and Industrial Parkway South

York Region and the Town of Aurora are repairing a watermain at Yonge Street and Industrial Parkway South, in the Town of Aurora. To complete the repair, water needs to be temporarily turned off to specific businesses. Repairing the watermain will extend its service life.

Duration: Sunday, July 6 to Monday, July 7, 2025, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

Impacts:

• Before the water is turned off, plan to have water available for the business to use overnight; it is recommended businesses fill large bottles and containers with drinking water and fill sinks and tubs for other water uses; when the water service is restored, please open your cold water taps for a few minutes to clear any air bubbles
• During the water service interruption, water supply to the businesses sprinkler system will be impacted
• To avoid any impact to the business water system during the water service interruption, do not turn on the hot water tap
• The work on the watermain is planned to be as brief as possible; however, if the water service shut off will be longer than the times noted, Town of Aurora staff will contact business owners; water service will be restored as soon as possible
