York Region donates decommissioned ambulance to support patients in Guyana
Newmarket – The Regional Municipality of York is donating a decommissioned ambulance to Voice of the Vedas Global Care Outreach – Guyana Dialysis (Voice of Vedas). The ambulance will support health services for dialysis patients in rural and underserved areas, helping provide access to care.
Members of the media are invited to attend the event and speak with representatives from York Region Paramedic Services and Voice of Vedas.

- The decommissioned ambulance will provide access to lifesaving treatment, eliminate transportation barriers and support better long-term outcomes for dialysis patients
- The ambulance will help ease the emotional and financial burden on families and strengthen the local health care system
- Since 2014, York Regional Council has approved the donation of a total of 15 decommissioned ambulances to not-for-profit, community or international organizations
