Rules and Regulations
Drop off during business hours only. Recyclables and e-waste are accepted free of charge. Household hazardous waste (HHW) is accepted from York Region residents only. Residents may drop off up to 60 litres of HHW per day and 20 compact fluorescent light bulbs per day. Industrial, commercial or institutional hazardous waste materials are not accepted. All HHW materials must be in original packaging or well-labeled. Do not mix substances. Containers cannot be returned. Sharps must be in a rigid, puncture-proof container (such as an empty bleach bottle) with a tight fitting lid labelled 'Needles/ Sharps'.
