Family Day greetings from The Regional Municipality of York

On behalf of York Regional Council and The Regional Municipality of York, I am pleased to extend warm wishes for a joyful Family Day weekend to all York Region residents. 

Family Day is an opportunity to pause from our busy lives and reconnect with the people who matter most. Across York Region, families take many forms – parents and children, grandparents, siblings, chosen family, friends and neighbours. What connects us is the care, support and sense of belonging we share with one another. 

Whether you are spending time outdoors enjoying our many parks and trails, cheering at a local rink, gathering around a meal or simply enjoying quiet moments at home, these shared experiences strengthen the bonds that help our communities thrive. 

Strong connections build strong communities. This weekend, I encourage everyone to take time to reach out and to celebrate the relationships that enrich our lives.
