YRT Fare Changes Coming July 1, 2026
June 08, 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, York Region Transit (YRT) fares will increase by 3%, as approved by York Regional Council in the 2026 budget.
The fare increase will help cover rising operating costs due to high inflation and help support the cost of delivering service to the Region. Over the next several years, transit will continue to make investments to improve service for travellers.
