York Region stands with the Israeli community

On behalf of York Regional Council and The Regional Municipality of York, I extend our thoughts and support to the people of Israel and the Israeli community as violence continues to escalate in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. 

Terror and violence against civilian populations is never acceptable. It is a fundamental threat to free societies, and the increased tension and violence in this region does nothing to move dialogue forward.

Regional Council continues to support welcoming and inclusive communities, where diversity is celebrated and everyone can participate freely in society and live with respect, dignity and freedom from discrimination. 

Today, we stand with the Israeli community and condemn any act of violence against civilians and extend our thoughts to all those affected by these senseless attacks.
