Cloth masks/reusable masks or facial coverings are accepted at York Region/Diabetes Canada donation bins. If donating to other charities, it’s best to check with your charity of choice before making a donation. This item is garbage if cannot be donated.

Polystyrene Foam Packaging Large Styrofoam
Place polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) in the garbage. This includes meat trays, cups, plates and packing peanuts (including biodegradable peanuts). If larger pieces like those used to protect electronics and appliances are too large for curbside garbage bags, they can be dropped off at a Community Environmental Centre (CEC) or Georgina Transfer Station for a fee.

This item can be recycled for free at select York Region waste facilities and community drop-off locations at participating retailers . Tires can be on or off rims. Windshield Washer Fluid
This item is household hazardous waste (HHW) and can be taken to a HHW depot for proper recycling and disposal. All HHW should be in original containers and well-marked. Containers are not returnable. Do not mix products. Residents may drop off up to 60L of HHW and 20 fluorescent tubes per day at York Region HHW Depots.
