Student Water Conservation Programs

York Children’s Water Festival

The York Children's Water Festival is delivered through a partnership between York Region and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. It provides Grade 4 students from across York Region with the opportunity to learn about water conservation through a variety of interactive, curriculum-linked activities. The Festival helps students understand the importance of a clean and plentiful water supply, respect a healthy environment and take action to use natural resources wisely in their own school, home and community.

Student volunteers from York Region's high schools assist younger guests by:

  • Presenting topics
  • Guiding activities
  • Interacting with students
  • Helping to convey environmental messages

The festival will take place between May 14 and 16, 2019 at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area, in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Registration and further details will be distributed through the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) and the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB).

As the event date approaches, important information and news about the Festival will be provided. To ask questions or provide feedback, please email or call 1-877-464-9675. ext. 75132
